The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) has commenced the next phase of its compensation payment process for property owners affected by the Blue Line Depot project.
As part of this phase, duly enumerated landlords have been formally presented with their compensation disclosures. These disclosures provide a detailed breakdown of approved payment sums, along with clearly defined terms and conditions, reinforcing transparency and mutual understanding between the government and affected stakeholders.
In parallel, the disbursement of compensation cheques to tenants continued today at the Palace of the Oniba of Iba Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Sulaimon Raji Adeshina (Asade I).
The exercise is being coordinated by Dr. Babatunde Osho, Managing Director of Global Impact Environmental Consulting, working in close collaboration with LAMATA officials, Mrs. Ibironke Omorhirhi and Miss Oluwasemilore Aderele.

This ongoing initiative underscores LAMATA’s steadfast commitment to equitable compensation, accountability, and sustained community engagement. As work progresses on the Blue Line Rail project toward its anticipated completion in the first quarter of 2027, the Authority remains focused on ensuring a smooth and inclusive transition for all affected parties.
