Engineer Tajudeen Olatoke Olanipekun – Head, Roads and Infrastructure
Engineer Tajudeen Olatoke Olanipekun, Head, Roads and Infrastructure Department, Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) is a 1990 graduate of Civil Engineering of the University of Benin. His post graduate study was at the School of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Minna in 1996, where he obtained a Master degree in Structural Engineering (M.Eng.) He was also admitted to the University of Kent, Canterbury, United Kingdom (UK) for post graduate studies in 2011 where he obtained a Master degree in Management Sciences and Engineering (M.Sc) in 2012.He joined the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority in 2005 as a Senior Specialist in the Roads Department of the Authority. He is presently the Project Manager for all the Roads and Infrastructure projects in the Authority.Engr. Olanipekun was an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State during which he was student academic advisor. He left the University on a part time basis in 1996 to join a firm of Consultancy Services as a Senior Consultant; he later disengaged his services from the University in 1998 to fully join the firm, Strudev Consultancy Services Nig. Ltd, in Ilorin Kwara State.
Engr Olanipekun is a distinguished Member of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE); Member of the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation (CIHT); Member Institution for Operations Research and Management Sciences (MINFORMS) ; Member Association of Constraint Programming (ACP), Member, American Society of Civil Engineers, MASCE and a COREN Registered Engineer.
He is responsible for the management and evaluating the effective supervision, and monitoring of Lagos State Government / IDA funded Road Maintenance Programmes, which includes, Road Rehabilitation and Reconstruction; Routine Maintenance works spread all over the 20 local government Area and 37 Local Council Development Areas of Lagos State.
