In its quest to develop an intermodal integrated transport system for Lagos State, the government is going ahead with the implementation of two of the seven rail network developed by the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) and approved for the city of Lagos. The rail lines – Red line (Agbado to Marina) and Blue line (Okokomaiko to Marina) are seen as the elixir to the traffic congestion that has come to characterise Lagos. The two lines are projected to carry more than 1.6 million passengers daily. Read more
